Studio Policies
Appointments & Booking
All appointments must be booked in advance. Some services, particularly colour services, may require a consultation prior to booking to ensure the work can be planned safely and appropriately.
Please ensure services are booked correctly. If you are unsure what to book, contact the studio before scheduling.
Colour Allergy Testing (Mandatory)
All new colour clients must complete a colour allergy test prior to their appointment. This is required before any colour service and is non-negotiable.
Clients may either attend the studio for a complimentary allergy test or request an at-home test kit to be mailed. Allergy tests must be completed a minimum of 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Appointments will be cancelled if a valid allergy test has not been completed, and standard cancellation policies will apply.
No-Show Policy
Failure to attend an appointment without notice will result in a charge of 100% of the scheduled service total.
Repeated no-shows may require full prepayment for future bookings or may result in refusal of future appointments.
Deposits
Certain services require a non-refundable deposit, including colour services, extended appointments, and some new client bookings.
Deposits are deducted from the final service total and may be transferred to a new appointment with at least 48 hours’ notice. Deposits are forfeited in cases of late cancellation or no-shows.
Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
Right to Refuse Service
HAIR FOR THE PEOPLE reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if policies are not respected or if a service cannot be delivered safely, ethically, or to an acceptable standard.
